VFC VR16 M4 SABER VSBR was made of an alloy of zinc and aluminum, steel, and high-quality polymer. The receiver with an integrated set of RIS rails, the stock slide, and the magazine were all made of alloy. The pistol grip and stock were made of polymer. Small elements such as pins, outer barrel, or the flash hider were made of steel.
